Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and finalizing construction drawings, coordinating with electrical engineers, and supporting the manufacturing process. Your expertise will play a crucial part in minimizing gaps and improving the quality of our manufacturing and testing processes.
Responsibilities
Create Sub-Panels and Doors layout by placing Electrical Components using SolidWorks Electrical (SWE) and performing mating and association on Mechanical Sub-Assemblies Models.
Create and finalize construction drawings, including wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and point-to-point wiring.
Coordinate with electrical engineers for conduit, wireway, and cable tray runs.
Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with urgency to ensure timely issue resolution for on-time shipments.
Operate independently while collaborating closely with electrical engineers to finalize construction drawing packages, minimizing gaps and improving quality for manufacturing and testing.
Support the backend Electrical Engineering team in preparing the manufacturing package based on front-end engineering release of customer drawings.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in creating control schematics and electrical design for medium voltage systems.
1-3 years of experience in electromechanical design, particularly in layouts of sub-panels and doors on switchgear products.
Experience using SolidWorks Electrical (SWE) and SWM 3D software.
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Understanding of one-line, three-line, and control schematics.
Working knowledge of PDM Tool and releasing of Electrical Parts using PDM data card.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
