Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in various accounting software. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage governmental accounting tasks, ensuring adherence to regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
- Maintain general ledger accounting by recording transactions accurately and timely.
- Understand and apply debits and credits effectively in all financial transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify asset and liability accounts are accurate.
- Collaborate with public accounting entities during audits or financial reviews as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating strong accounting skills.
- Familiarity with account analysis, governmental accounting practices, and public accounting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in preparing journal entries, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members when needed.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential for this role.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
