DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Worker 2 Department: Facilities Location: Gouverneur Hospital Hours Per Week: 40 (Full Time) Schedule: Days; 7 am - 3:30pm (On call once a month; includes weekend coverage) SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Lead Maintenance Worker 2 performs advanced maintenance, repair, and light construction on mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems. They provide guidance to Plant Operations staff as directed by the Plant Operations Director. RESPONSIBILITIES:Guides team members in the absence of management. Performs general maintenance, repairs, and light construction. Installs and repairs mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment. Performs electrical work, including wiring, lighting, and system inspections. Repairs plumbing systems, including leaks, drains, fixtures, and water heaters. Conducts carpentry, painting, glazing, and masonry work for building upkeep. Ensures safety and proper maintenance of facility and utility systems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma (or equivalent) Clean/Active NYS Driver's License Three years of general maintenance experience in a facility maintenance environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associate degree in applied technology, construction/maintenance, or technical/trade school training preferred. Three years of plant operations and maintenance experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of facility maintenance methods, including mechanical/HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds keeping. Understanding of building maintenance practices, tools, safety procedures, and basic math skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.PAY RANGE: $24.99 - $35.78 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
