Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Assembler with experience in small part assembly, particularly with electrical and wiring components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers, and will be able to stand for extended periods. The position requires flexibility to work both day and swing shifts, with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products
Maintain a minimum standard quota (time and/or piece count) for a given job assignment
Comply with all safety requirements and company policies and procedures
Obtain an intermediate level understanding of the names of tools used in assembly and their use
Identify and understand components at a beginner level
Measure using both standard and metric measurements and use conversion tools
Perform all tasks accurately and thoroughly to ensure quality products
Report any irregularities pertaining to daily goals, quality, or delays to the Production Supervisor or production management
Use basic problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, and initiate constructive changes
Essential Skills
1+ year of small part assembly experience, preferably in electrical/wiring
Experience using hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers
Ability to stand for long periods
Willingness to work overtime
Flexibility to work day and swing shifts
Basic English skills (reading, writing, speaking)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
High level of attention to detail
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric
Ability to reason and analyze
Highly dependable with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and team player mentality
Ability to sit or stand for long periods, and lift, stoop, and bend as needed

Work Environment
You will work in a clean environment manufacturing fiber optics for government and private customers. The work setting resembles a clean room where you will wear a basic gown similar to a lab coat. Day shift hours are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, with frequent overtime on Fridays. Swing shift hours are from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.50/hr.
