Salary Range: $18.12 - $21.54

Position Summary:
Works directly under the CCC Administrator
Greets and directs patients and visitors
Provides information regarding services and explains facility policies.
Processes telephone communication efficiently and courteously.
Performs paging in a clear and accurate manner in accordance with hospital guidelines.
Distributes information accurately and legibly.
Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members and visitors.
Assists DON as needed.

Position Duties/Responsibility:
Accurately prioritize and announce facility-wide codes.
Appropriately identifies situations requiring attention and proceeds to seek assistance from Directors and Administrator.
Answers telephone calls and greets visitors. Answers their questions, provides information, and escorts visitors to their desired destination when needed.
Collects mail and intra-district distribution from the nurse's station and distributes it throughout the facility.
Processes the resident mail for the activity staff to deliver.
Assists the Administrative Secretary/Admissions Coordinator as needed.
Assists with Admission Packet assembly.
Processes Certified Mail
Other Duties Assigned by Administrator.
Essential Functions:
The ability to use the current system to announce Codes and make pages.
The ability to communicate verbally with visitors in person or on the telephone.
The ability to be supervised.
The ability to work as a Team member.
The ability to have positive personal interactions with staff, patients/residents and visitors.
Position Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous office/hospital experience preferred. Experience with geriatric residents is preferred.
Certifications/License: Current California driver's license, have no convictions for serious driving violations and be insurable by the District's insurance carrier.
Effective communication skills with spoken English and handwritten notes.
Positive public appearance.
Able to file accurately both alphabetically and numerically.
Demonstrate ability to use Word software.
Exhibits the ability to organize multiple assignments and follow through with accuracy.
Exercises good judgment under stress. Demonstrates initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise.
