JOB SUMMARY:
This position works under the general supervision of the Director and provides engineering support for the Energy Department including Electric and Gas Divisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides direction to Engineering Division to ensure compliance with TVPPA, NESC and ANSI codes. Provides system data on request. 25% E
Performs and approves engineering calculations related to line design and operation. Assists in system planning, develops equipment specifications as required. 25% E
Develops and recommends policies related to new service and line extension. Recommends and coordinates system maintenance and renovation. 25% E
Coordinates work by outside engineering firms on special projects. Investigates customer service complaints. 20% E
Performs other related duties as required. 5% M
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of an electric transmission and distribution system
Knowledge of the principles and practices of overhead and underground electric distribution line construction
Knowledge of the principles and practices of electrical engineering
Knowledge of the principles and practices of a gas distribution system
Knowledge of occupational hazard and safety precautions
