Job Title: Crane Service Technician
Job Description
The Overhead Crane Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing overhead cranes across various industries and plants. This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work at heights ranging from 120 to 140 feet.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on overhead cranes to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in crane systems, including motors, control panels, and wiring.
Repair or replace faulty electrical components to restore crane functionality.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of crane equipment.
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and plant staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working at heights and in various industrial environments.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in an industrial setting.
Ability to work safely at heights of 120-140 feet.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and wiring.
Familiarity with overhead crane systems and components.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with plant staff and other maintenance personnel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Proficiency with hand tools and hydraulic systems.

Work Environment
Travel across North Alabama, from Birmingham to the South Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia lines. Occasionally, you may assist with projects in South Alabama. This role involves working in various industrial environments and at significant heights.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $70750.00/yr.
