Description We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to become a part of our team in the Construction/Contractor industry located in DERBY, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth office operations by performing various administrative tasks. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Managing email correspondence to ensure effective communication within the organization.
Assisting in coordinating travel logistics as required.
Performing data entry tasks with a focus on numeric entries for accurate record keeping.
Overseeing the switchboard, handling 1-10 lines, ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly.
Delivering exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving inquiries in a timely manner.
Carrying out filing and scanning tasks to facilitate organized record keeping.
Drafting letters and other forms of communication as needed.
Using Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for various administrative tasks.
Handling ad hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably within the Construction/Contractor sector.
Skilled in filing and scanning documents, with a focus on organization and accuracy.
Proven experience in data entry tasks, ensuring a high level of precision.
Must have numeric data entry skills, with a strong emphasis on detail.
Excellent customer service skills, with a history of effectively addressing customer queries and concerns.
Familiarity with operating switchboards, managing between 1 to 10 lines.
Ability to handle detail-oriented email correspondence, ensuring clarity and timely responses.
Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, with experience in scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including creating documents, formatting text, and using templates.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets, using formulas, and generating reports.
