The electrical supervisor will be responsible for directing and supporting the efforts of electrical skilled trades persons in an industrial plant in conjunction with other maintenance staff. The goal of the maintenance department is to safely ensure our equipment, and the plant as a whole, is ready and able to be used by the production department to deliver a quality product to our customers in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Set work schedules for maintenance electricians
Be familiar with plant equipment and determine needed maintenance
Ensure trades people have everything needed to be successful materials, training, etc.
Determine when overtime is necessary and keep records of the same
Aid in developing safe work procedures for maintenance tasks
Keep records of completed work to be able to prove compliance to standards
Assist engineering in project specifications, planning and implementation
Also note:
Less than 25% travel
Some off shift and weekend work may occur
On call in event of needed support
Qualifications
You have: (required)
High school diploma or GED
3 to 5 years working as, or supervising, electricians, or related experience
PC skills
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Journey person certificate or electrical degree
Experience working in an industrial plant
Experience supervising bargaining unit employees
Knowledge and experience adhering to standards - safety and quality
Combustion system experience
Control system experience. i.e. PLC programming, safety implementation
Strong trouble shooting skills
Safety minded
Strong work ethic
Organized and self-motivated
Base Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00
