Position Summary: Fleet Tractor Mechanic
Responsible for all repairs including but not limited to, air brake
systems, suspension and tires, electrical repair and diagnostics,
structural repair, accident damage, and mobile refrigeration systems
(Reefer Units) as well as performing all maintenance tasks that ensure a
functional and operational transportation fleet.
Shift Position: Wednesday - Saturday, 2:00 pm 12:00 am
What you will be doing:
Repairs include internal repair, external repair, Repair suspension
systems, and braking systems.
Perform welding functions as needed.
Diagnose and solve electrical issues.
Strive to find more efficient ways to complete tasks and seek to
reduce costs and improve labor productivity.
Make recommendations for modifying procedures or processes impacting
their work group that will maximize efficiency, productivity and
reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with ADUSA Transportation standards in the areas
of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior experience in trailer repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of air brake and suspension systems.
Ability to diagnose DC electrical systems.
Ability to lift up to 80-100 lbs.
Work in a shop-style setting on concrete floors.
Bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, grasping, standing
for long periods of time, reaching and pulling throughout the shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: \$24.00 - \$32.00 per hour
