The Electrician repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical apparatus and supporting electrical circuitry of the facilities power and lighting distribution system at the Nutley Campus.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Vocational School or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of electrician' apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
Experience working with 480V AC Systems.
Lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls a variety of electrical materials (weighing up to 50 pounds).
Stands, walks most of the day and handles light equipment and objects; climbs on ladders, stoops, kneels and crouches to gain access to electrical wiring.
Dirt, dust, fumes, grease, heat and cold, unventilated areas
Required to do indoor and outdoor work.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
Valid NJ Electrical license.
