Transportation Administrative Assistant
Administratively assists the Transportation Team Leader in the day-to-day operation of the Transportation office. Communicates with Corporate PJ Food Service Logistics Department on administrative needs. Daily contact with Quality Control Center Delivery Specialists. Essential functions are performed in a warehouse transportation environment.
What's on the Menu:
Assist with processing Delivery Specialists payroll.
Assist with maintaining appropriate Department of Transportation (DOT) documentation (DOT logbooks, reports).
Create and maintain spreadsheets on pertinent transportation information for reporting purposes.
General office administrative duties including, but not limited to filing, answering phones and taking and disseminating messages.
Proactively assist in addressing customer service and delivery issues.
Create/update support documents for Quality Control Center.
Provide administrative support for the Quality Control Center team (mailing, copying, filing, faxing and other administrative duties).
Order and monitor office supplies.
Support supervisor and team with general accounting, travel arrangements, and other duties as needed.
Provide back-up administrative support during supervisor's absence.
Other related duties as assigned.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Basic computer knowledge required (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes and Access).
Must be able to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two to four years administrative/customer service experience in a distribution/transportation environment.
