North Star Gardens is seeking landscape technicians for our 2025 season. No experience or education is necessary, but a high school diploma is preferred.
Landscapers preform a variety of work to improve the functional and/or aesthetic value of a property by creating or improving lawns, gardens and landscape features. Tasks include, but are not limited to: trimming trees and bushes, mulching gardens, spreading fertilizer, planting shrubs and plants, spreading grass seed and topsoil, watering plants, digging holes, and other maintenance tasks. Technicians use a variety of tools such as: shovels, rakes, brooms, handsaws, chainsaws, electric clippers, leaf blowers, and weed trimmers.
Landscape technicians will be working in a highly physical job, and should be able to lift and/or move 50lbs, as well as walk, kneel, crouch or crawl for extended periods of time. Work is done in a variety of weather conditions and exposure elements (i.e. heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, proximity to electrical energy, exposure to tools and machines used in construction industries)
Full-time or part-time available
Work starts mid-April, Monday-Saturday(half-day) 40-60 hours per week until after July 4^th^, then Monday-Friday 40-50 hours per week. Each work day will start at the Landscaping Pit (5000 Reams Rd. Alanson, MI) then employees will travel to job sites in company vehicles from there.
Wages are based on experience, but can range from $17-$25 per hour.
