Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd and 3rd Shift
Job Description
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems. You will work on a hybrid role that requires a well-rounded skill set in both areas, ensuring the smooth operation of various equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
Drop power to machines, replace proximity switches, hydraulic pumps, and cylinders.
Install electrical boxes with PLCs and assess compliance with National Electrical Codes, OSHA, and Safety Standards.
Troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, applying considerable judgment.
Decide whether equipment can continue running or requires immediate repairs.
Summarize jobs and provide evaluations when requested by supervisors or leads.
Maintain and operate hand tools, electrical tools, volt/ohm and amp meters, welders, transportation equipment, and lifting equipment.
Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures.
Essential Skills
Experience in maintenance technician roles, including tube bending, cutoff operation, and lathe operation.
Skill in electromechanical and electrical maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
Experience with PLCs and understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
Proficiency in using testing equipment such as volt/ohm meters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Actively pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
Six months of industrial maintenance experience.
Basic welding and fabricating metal structures/components experience.
Basic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in adverse conditions such as wet, hot, dusty, dirty, or cold environments.

Work Environment
The role is based in a heavy industrial setting, requiring travel between buildings to complete maintenance tasks. Work may involve exposure to adverse conditions, such as wet, hot, dusty, dirty, or cold environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
