Job Title: Wire Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wire Assembly Technician responsible for assembling and preparing wire components. This role involves handling wires up to 16 feet, attaching connectors and insulators, and ensuring all components meet quality standards before being passed to Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities
Strip, pull, and coil wires up to 15-16 feet.
Attach connectors and insulators to wires.
Run wires through machines to fasten clamps and kit wires.
Ensure work order tickets remain with raw components until assembly is complete.
Return extra parts to designated carts with pick tickets after completing work orders.
Double-check orders for quantity and quality before delivering to Quality Assurance.
Print labels and navigate customer applications with guidance from Quality Assurance.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools immediately.
Maintain a clean work area and manage end-of-day cleanup responsibilities.
Follow work instructions from the login page and keep Excel control plan work instructions open.
Essential Skills
Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day.
Basic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate a tablet and read emails.
Pass a mechanical test during the interview process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in kitting, assembly, general labor, and light assembly is beneficial.
Entry-level production experience is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse with a relaxed atmosphere. Dress code includes jeans or shorts without holes and a provided t-shirt. After 30 days, company shirts will be issued, and Fridays are casual. Engage in a variety of tasks involving custom, mechanical, and electrical components for diverse products, such as those used in ice machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
