As a Monitoring & Diagnostics Specialist, your superpower will be spotting anomalies and helping keep the lights on for millions. You'll dive into real-time power plant data, collaborate with top-notch teams, and turn insights into action to keep our generation fleet humming.
What you'll do:
Monitor advanced-pattern recognition models to identify anomalies in thermal fleet equipment.
Analyze and interpret real-time plant data to confirm anomalies and initiate troubleshooting protocols.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to investigate and resolve performance and reliability issues.
Provide proactive communications to stakeholders, including equipment condition updates and failure risk assessments.
Create and maintain performance dashboards, reliability reports, and cost avoidance tracking for informed decision-making.
What you'll need:
At least 8 years of experience in thermal plant operations and maintenance (coal or gas); equivalent military or industry experience may be considered.
Strong knowledge of thermal power plant systems, equipment, and operational best practices.
Proficiency in DCS platforms (e.g., Emerson, ABB, T3000), PI data historian, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerBI.
Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interface effectively across operational teams.
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting anomalies using real-time operational data.
Familiarity with predictive maintenance strategies and condition monitoring best practices.
