Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This position involves the design and installation of electrical equipment, facilities, components, and systems for industrial purposes. The role also includes troubleshooting electrical and controls issues to support manufacturing reliability. You will work closely with mechanical engineering, technicians, and production staff to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design and install electrical systems and components for industrial use.
Troubleshoot electrical and control issues to support manufacturing reliability.
Assist technicians in fabricating test control apparatus and equipment.
Identify and recommend investments for improving manufacturing and facility equipment/processes.
Coordinate and manage work conducted by outside contractors on building, process, and equipment electrical/control systems.
Develop control applications, instruments, and systems for industrial uses.
Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to complete tasks.
Conduct training sessions with associates when necessary.
Research and implement advanced technology in tooling, automation, and mechanization to reduce manufacturing costs.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an associate's degree with 5+ years' experience.
Ability to develop designs and create engineering drawings using CAD software.
Experience in lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC is preferred.
Experience in web converting, paper/pulp converting, or similar high-speed rotating equipment environments is preferred.
Experience in a multi-shift manufacturing facility is preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires on-site presence five days a week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
