The Administrative Assistant II, Dental Admissions role provides
administrative and professional support to the Office of Dental
Admissions and, as needed, the Office of Student Affairs. This role
plays a vital part in the daily operations of these areas, fostering a
welcoming and service-oriented environment for prospective students,
their families, faculty, staff, and current students. This is your next

respect and inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Serve as the
primary point of contact for Admissions Office visitors. 2. Manage
emails and voicemails from prospective students. Update office calendar,
including several student interview days and visits. Coordinate all
Office of Dental Admissions communication with internal and external
parties. 3. Screen incoming applications for proper recording and
completeness. Prepare admissions decisions for distribution to
applicants. 4. Assist with student recruitment efforts, including
leading tours of the School of Dentistry, attending internal and
external recruitment events, and describing important aspects of the
dental education program. 5. Assist with planning and execution of
events, including interview days, White Coat Ceremony, orientation, and
graduation. 6. Responsible for the supervision of student employees
which includes but is not limited to hiring, training, disciplinary
actions, ending the student\'s assignment, etc. ** OTHER
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma Minimum of two years of experience in an office
support role Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Discretion,
flexibility, and courteous demeanor Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work and communicate with people from a diverse population
Ability to work independently with little supervision and frequent
interruptions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to multitask
and prioritize daily workload Computer competency with Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Occasional evening/weekend hours
required Preferred Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities Administrative
