Overview Supervise personnel in the physical installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing, and inspection of overhead and URD conductors and associated equipment in the electrical distribution system. Ensure that work activities are performed in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and in accordance with established policies, procedures, engineering plans and specifications, and environmental laws and regulations.Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Supervise subordinate personnel in the physical installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing, and inspection of overhead and URD conductors and associated equipment of the electrical distribution system and ensure availability and timely delivery of necessary materials, supplies, equipment and tools. Ensure that all work activities are performed in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and in accordance with established policies, procedures, engineering plans and specifications and environmental laws and regulations and ensure that technological advances on the overhead devices are in accordance with engineering plans and specifications. Performs with full commitment and compliance with all environmental laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures, including proper storage, handling and disposal of hazardous material and promptly reports any violations or release of hazardous materials into the environment. Becomes proficient with interpreting computerized reports and their application of work-related activities and responsibilities and monitors work performance of subordinates. Must be able to regularly coach poor performers to acceptable levels. Conduct job briefings, job site safety exchange (JSSE's) Driver Assessment, AVAIL audits and vehicle inspections. Promote a culture of inclusion and engagement, growth and resource flexibility that fosters professionalism, honesty, concern, courtesy, excellence and teamwork. Recognize and implement corrective actions in cases of work performance and perform other related tasks and assignments as required. Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Must have knowledge of the electric distribution system, Electric Operations and Construction, primary and secondary systems and have experience with, or be willing to learn the Logica Work Management System. Must be able to exercise independent judgment during system emergencies as well as be a supporting member within the framework of the Incident Command System (ICS). Must be Available for storm and emergency response. Conduct safety audits to ensure that all employees receive mandatory compliance and skills training as required by OSHA and Company specifications and monitor work in progress for spec compliance.Qualifications Required Education/Experience High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant work experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant work experience.Relevant Work Experience Knowledge of the Overhead distribution systems and equipment.
