Columbia Forest Products is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our Craigsville, WV team. This role requires a hands-on professional. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage maintenance and capital projects from inception to completion.
Create, interpret, and utilize CAD and electrical drawings to guide project planning and execution.
Ensure timely and efficient project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
Manage, control, and track departmental and capital spending including capital projects.
Machine Programming:
Familiar with industrial equipment control systems including:
HMI systems
PLC programming and control
Various process and control sensors
Machine Systems Expertise:
Work with and troubleshoot various machine systems, including:
Electrical systems
Mechanical systems
Pneumatics and hydraulics
Boiler and steam systems
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Servo motion control
Robotics
Vision systems
Machine Safety:
Knowledge of machine safety systems and measures, including:
Safety guarding
Safety switches and relays
Safety PLCs
Light curtains
OSHA, NFPA, and NEC codes and standards
