As an Electrical Engineer I, here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems and components. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will be a part of obsolescence management and work on component obsolescence mitigation strategies. You will interact with internal and external vendor to facilitate the replacement process for components with or without FFF replacements.
This could also include small design projects to complete custom solutions to keep customers supported. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs. Your technical expertise and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of the Industrial Automation business within Honeywell.
You will report directly to our LSS Engineering Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced electrical engineering solutions for our customers in the Industrial Automation industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult on aftermarket obsolescence migration strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Provide guidance to customers on the serviceability of their electrical components.
Manage the obsolete electrical component list and write Component Discontinuation Notices (CDNs).
Participate in field execution of aftermarket services projects.
Support other LSS engineering functions, particularly obsolescence planning.
MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, or engineering.
Entry level / college experience in electrical engineering and the material handling industry.
Strong organizational skills and exposure to project/program management functions.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/HCAD).
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and methodologies.
