DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Practitioner provides Respiratory Care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians, including but not limited to the administration of respiratory related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, in accordance to established policy and procedure and based on accepted national standards, practices and regulatory requirements. Invasive & non invasive ventilation monitored in conjunction with preceptor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
High school diploma and one semester of clinical rotations from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapist program, as determined by the Committee of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARRC)
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
