Job Title: Welder
Job Description
We specialize in the manufacture, sale, and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance industries in more than 120 countries. Due to recent expansion, we are experiencing over a 50% production increase and are in need of MIG welders.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine sequence and methods of assembling components.
Read and interpret work orders.
Use basic hand tools such as tape measurer and specialty equipment.
Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell).
Perform rework as required.
Support Production System initiatives and may participate in RCI events.
Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train).
Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, applying knowledge of shop math and layout techniques.
Perform MIG welding using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
Inspect assemblies/components for conformance to specifications.
Trim, file, grind, sand, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools.
Train new/current associates.
Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
Maintain daily time records.
Other job duties as assigned, which may vary by location.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma/GED
AWS D.1.1 weld certification
Ability to read, write, and comprehend
Basic computer usage knowledge

Work Environment
Manufacturing/production environment that is not climate controlled. The work environment is fast-paced and performance-driven. The dress code includes plain colored T-shirts (preferably blue or grey), jeans, and steel-toed shoes. Shifts available: First Shift (6:30am - 3:00pm) and Second Shift (3:15pm - 11:45pm). Overtime may be required, with potential for working three out of four Saturdays each month.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.27 - $25.77/hr.
