CORE Electric Cooperative is seeking a Journeyman Lineman Working Foreman to join our Operations team, reporting to the District Line Superintendent, located in our Woodland Park Office. This role is responsible for the performance of labor necessary for the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission lines.
This is a n on-exempt onsite position at our Woodland Park office, located at 800 N Hwy 67, Woodland Park, CO 80863 .You must reside within 40 miles of this location.
This is a union position, subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and governed by CORE's rules, regulations, policies, and applicable state and federal law.

You will...
Perform duties which are semi-routine and involve an extensive knowledge of building high voltage transmission and distribution lines. A wide range of procedures are used in the work, and in some cases, analysis of facts is necessary to determine what course of action should be taken but always within the limits of standard practice. Direction from the supervisor is received where a definite objective is not set up, and the Working Foreman can plan and arrange own work, referring only unusual cases to the supervisor.
The Working Foreman has regular contact with the line crew, other departments, and the public. They may furnish or obtain information and participate in the discussion of supervisory matters. This position requires the use of discretion in handling confidential and personnel matters.
The Working Foreman must be able to perform the duties of a Lineman while paying strict attention to the overall job being performed with emphasis on maintaining safe working habits and conditions. The Working Foreman directs and provides guidance to the line crew.

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Training equivalent to at least four years of apprenticeship as a Lineman.
A valid unrestricted class A Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a DOT medical certificate are required and must be maintained. This position is subject to DOT controlled substance and alcohol testing regulations.
Employee must reside no more than 40 road miles from their respective district office.
