Description
Management Resources is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a contract to full time hire opportunity. This is 100% remote within the US. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in accounting functions, maintaining general ledger integrity, and conducting account analysis.
Responsibilities
Prepare and record journal entries aligned with US GAAP standards, including payroll, inventory, and lease accounting.
Conduct monthly reviews of trial balances to identify any unusual or missing transactions.
Reconcile corporate bank accounts on a regular basis and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Collaborate on balance sheet and income statement analyses to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Maintain schedules and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to support financial reporting.
Record and manage receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assisting external auditors.
Handle wire transfers for corporate entities, ensuring proper authorization and execution.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency in response to organizational growth.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and adhere to deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant
Proficiency in managing and executing accounting functions related to grants.
Expertise in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.
Strong ability to perform detailed account analysis and resolve discrepancies.
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing journal entries with accuracy.
Advanced knowledge of accounting software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
