Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with strong experience in manufacturing and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and electronics troubleshooting, the ability to diagnose equipment issues, and the capability to perform preventive maintenance tasks. This role involves working closely with the production and machine departments and has the potential for career advancement to a Lead/Supervisor position.
Responsibilities
Assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for equipment such as production machinery, production or development test equipment, and support systems.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly drawings for mechanical systems or machinery.
Diagnose and correct challenging problems in production machinery and/or test equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and document completion of these tasks.
Document mechanical or electrical problems and utilize internal and external resources to find solutions.
Execute plans of electrical wiring for machinery and electrical systems.
Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breakers, panels, etc.).
Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Service, repair, replace components, and install building service fixtures and equipment up to 480v.
Perform precision alignment of machinery and balancing for rotating equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems to the component level.
Installation, assembling, and fabrication of electronics/electrical components following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, work site directions, and blueprints.
Make cable and wiring connections accurately.
Perform regular inspections to identify defects and replacements.
Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality.
Maintain inventory control of electronic components and tools.
Maintain documentation of system installation and maintenance procedures.
Coordinate with management to determine deadlines for assigned tasks.
Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance.
Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned, including building maintenance as needed.
Adhere to all safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills
3 years of previous manufacturing experience, specifically in electrical and electronic troubleshooting/maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting capability.
Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics.
Understanding of single and 3-phase AC power up to 480v.
Knowledge of motors and transformers.
Familiarity with PLC programming and ladder logic.
Ability to solder to the component level.
Ability to read and operate various measuring equipment related to electronics (e.g., oscilloscope, digital multimeters, signal analyzers).
Ability to accurately annotate and maintain repair documents.
Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and instructions for performing system installation activities.
Familiarity with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to perform overtime when necessary, including weekends.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
