Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical power conversion products for aircraft critical systems and cabin applications. You will experience the entire product lifecycle, from concept and requirements, through design, implementation, testing, certification, and field application. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and contribute to a premier provider of instrument, avionics, and aircraft power solutions.
Responsibilities
Create schematics and direct PCB layout using PADs.
Research new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designs.
Coordinate with other functional teams, including layout, mechanical, software, and certification engineers.
Build and troubleshoot hardware, including soldering, operation of test equipment, and daily work in both office and test lab environments.
Design and execute test procedures to verify compliance with applicable performance, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Design and integrate manufacturing tools as needed for new products.
Create and document designs in required formats, including BOMs, ECOs, and work instructions.
Essential Skills
Master's degree in electrical engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing power conversion products.
Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting analog circuits and switch-mode power electronics.
Experience in magnetics including power transformers and filters.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience designing to environmental requirements such as RTCA DO-160 or similar aerospace, military, or commercial standards.
Experience with PADS or similar schematic capture and PCB layout software.
Experience with PSpice or LTSpice simulation tools.
Experience with Design for Manufacture and Design for Test (DFM & DFT).
Work Environment
The position is a full-time role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in an engineering office setting. You will also engage in daily work in both office and test lab environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
