POSITION: Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Part-Time
DUTIES:
Performs all receptionist duties, answers Department s telephones,
schedule appointments, screen all walk-ins, take messages and provide
accurate information to the public.
Log, date stamp, and record and process all outgoing and incoming
mail, includes use of postage machine.
Maintain master household number card file at current status and assign
household numbers, prepare and cross reference files.
Order agency forms.
Assist clients with form completion and make copies of necessary
information. - Type agency correspondence, forms, etc.
Supply correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar for @typed
correspondence.
Provide complete and accurate information to agencies, and various billing
offices, doctor offices.
Verify State ID numbers and information regarding clients and members in
their household. Maintain and update agency policy volumes and agency letters.
Process new applications for eligibility into the State computer system
Colorado Benefits Management System.
Collect payments for all program areas and deposit daily child support
received.
Issue EBT cards, check balances, and maintain card inventory logs.
The employee performs all other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or General Education Degree (GED)
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet
applications, and various accounting programs.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Background checks and drug screens including marijuana is required for this
position.
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as State regulations and
procedure manuals.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
regulatory agencies, or members of the community.
Ability to speak effectively with clients or employees of organization.
Bilingual preferred.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar
graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and
mathematical or diagram form.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete and abstract
variables in standardized situations.
WAGE: $17.07-$17.75/hr, DOE
