Summary:
Electrical apparatus service technicians travel to different locations to inspect and repair power supply and power transmission components. Repair or regular maintenance duties begin with referring to schematics and performing visual inspections for basic problems, such as loose or damaged wiring. They then use diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, signal generators and oscilloscopes, to measure currents and pinpoint malfunctions. Once identified, electrical lines can be spliced, and defective components can be repaired or replaced. Electrical field technicians specialize in @types of systems, including commercial and industrial machines, transportation systems and power transmission systems for energy utility companies. Additional duties may include repairing circuit and relay boxes, power line insulation and watertight equipment seals.
Reports to: Service Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
A good understanding of Electrical Apparatus repair and maintenance.
A valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Proficient in reading and speaking English

Capable of working with customers and internal personnel.
Self-starter, reliable, safe worker, and able to work alone without close supervision.
Friendly attitude and a willingness to learn the electrical apparatus repair business.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year electrical, technical, or related degree.
At least 2 years' experience as a technician
Working Conditions:
Shop floor environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Occasionally may lift heavy objects in awkward positions. May work in confined spaces.

Essential Job Functions:
Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and apparatus.
Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, and apparatus.
Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Perform onsite services of Motors and Electrical Apparatus
Carry out diagnosis of equipment including, vibration analysis
Perform transformer maintenance and repair
Perform standard routine services based on a preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Ordering parts necessary for preventative maintenance and communicating those needs to our inside people.

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $45 to $60 hourly.
