Job Description:
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Revenue Accounting Leadership Team. This individual supports employees in various locations across the state. The candidate must have demonstrated professional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to work with others to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients. Ability to collaborate, plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events/functions, and effectively communicate and coordinate with external resources and individuals. This position may require occasional travel.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of clerical /administrative/customer service experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in invoice processing and expense account processing.
Familiarity with accounting software (Oracle is a plus).
Experience in timekeeping.
Prior work with Southern Company or a contractor for Southern Company is a plus.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Other Attributes
Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills are a must.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and under pressure with limited supervision.
Effectively multi-task.
Experience planning events for large groups.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.
Ability and interest in learning new skills and the ability to work as a part of a collaborative team.
Software Proficiency
Required: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reports, etc.).
Preferred: Enterprise Solutions (Maximo, MRS, Oracle).
