4Labs partners with innovative clients across gaming, music/entertainment, non-profits, and tech to build, elevate, and transform digital brands. We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Branding Specialist Graphic Designer to drive the digital branding vision for our diverse portfolio.
Role Overview
As a Branding Specialist Graphic Designer, you will lead the creation, execution, and evolution of visual brand identities tailored to each client’s industry. You will develop comprehensive brand guides, brand books, and style guides for digital and social media platforms, ensuring each brand’s voice is distinct, cohesive, and impactful.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute creative digital branding strategies that align with client goals and target audiences in gaming, music/entertainment, non-profits, and tech.
- Create comprehensive brand guides, brand books, and style guides for digital and social media content.
- Design logos, visual systems, and collateral that bring brand stories to life.
- Collaborate with clients, marketing teams, and stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and vision alignment.
- Present creative concepts and rationale to clients and internal teams, incorporating feedback and iterating as needed.
- Stay current with design trends, digital technologies, and industry best practices.
- Manage multiple branding projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Industry Branding Talents & Experience
Gaming- Crafting immersive visual identities and storytelling that resonate with players.
- Building and engaging communities through brand experiences.
- Designing for personalization and in-game customization.
- Leveraging nostalgia and expanding brands beyond games (e.g., merchandise, media).
Music/Entertainment- Creating authentic, consistent visual identities that reflect the artist’s or brand’s story and values.
- Designing assets for both online and offline presence (album art, tour visuals, social content).
- Connecting with audiences through relatable, memorable branding.
- Supporting fan engagement and brand loyalty.Non-Profits- Translating mission and values into cohesive visual identities that build trust and organizational cohesion.
- Creating brand guides that align internal identity with external image.
- Designing for multiple stakeholders (donors, beneficiaries, partners).
- Supporting campaigns that drive social impact.
Tech- Showcasing innovation and technical expertise through modern, forward-thinking design.
- Building employer and product brand assets that attract top talent and users.
- Communicating unique value propositions visually.
- Designing for digital-first platforms and developer communities.
- Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in branding, graphic design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand identity work.
- Demonstrated experience creating brand guides, brand books, and style guides for digital and social media content.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
- Deep understanding of branding principles, visual storytelling, and digital content strategy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present and explain creative concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Branding, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience working with clients in gaming, music/entertainment, non-profits, and/or tech is highly desirable.

Compensation for this position is location-based, and salary ranges will vary depending on the geographical location of the role. Below is a list of typical cities where the position may be posted, each with its corresponding salary range:
- Toronto, Canada: $52,000-$80,000 salary; $25-$40 an hour contract
- Austin, Texas: $60,000-$85,000 salary; $28-$45 an hour contract
- Montreal, Canada: $52,000-$80,000 salary; $25-$40 an hour contract
- Miami, Florida: $60,000-$85,000 salary; $28-$45 an hour contract
