Job Title: Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical (GSE)
Job Description:
As a Gas Turbine Systems Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining gas turbine engines, including the main propulsion machinery, reduction gears, shafts, and controllable pitch propellers. You will handle repairs for mechanical components, auxiliary equipment, and propulsion control systems. Additionally, performing routine maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of fuel and lube oil systems, machinery control systems, and other auxiliary machinery will be part of your role. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues within gas turbine engines and associated systems are also key responsibilities. ?? Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain gas turbine engines and associated systems.
Repair mechanical components, including auxiliary equipment and propulsion control systems.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of fuel and lube oil systems, machinery control systems, and other auxiliary machinery.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within gas turbine engines and associated systems.
Ensure preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failures.
Use hand tools proficiently for assembly and repair tasks.
Understand and maintain electrical systems associated with gas turbines.
Operate and maintain auxiliary machinery that supports turbine systems.
Have knowledge of turbine generators and their operation.
Interpret and implement technical instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all aspects of work.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in operating and maintaining machinery control systems, including consoles and Programmed Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Understanding and managing propulsion control systems.
Understanding of machinery controls and electronic/electrical systems.
Experience with electrical components and electronic circuitry, including alarm and warning systems.
Knowledge of auxiliary equipment operation and maintenance, such as fuel and lube oil systems.
Skills in diagnosing and fixing issues within control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to travel (10% of the time).
Experience with Navy-related systems.
Knowledge of cable maintenance and repair.
Experience with Equipment Operational Sequencing System (EOSS) and Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
Experience with auxiliary power units.
Technical documentation skills.
Eligible for a clearance.

Work Environment
You will work 100% onsite in the Philly Navy Shipyard with potential travel to other ships. Overtime pay is included.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
