Provide technical engineering information to company supervision and crafts to insure construction work complies with all engineering standards.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1.Compile data and information from technical and accounting sources; calculations and summarizations of same as directed.
2.Inventory, check, examine and measure materials.
3.May assemble and bind reports, proposals, bids, estimates, schedules as needed.
4.Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
5.Verify all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings, specifications.
6.Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to supervisor.
7.May provide technical support and direction of project material control functions including implementation and operation of maintenance program.
8.Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
9.Coordinate and process general administrative work (time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.) for supervisor's signature.
10.Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
Educational and experience requirements include: 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience. Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline. Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with calculator. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
