Job Title: Electrical InspectorJob Description
Serve as the Owner's representative to oversee third-party solar field electrical installation for solar plant construction. This role encompasses DC systems, power conversion units, medium voltage AC collection systems, safety, SCADA and instrumentation, electrical startup, and commissioning. The position is responsible for oversight of electrical work and startup, ensuring compliance with engineering plans, project specifications, quality control, scheduling, and safety goals.
Responsibilities
Manage the electrical scope, including schedules and engineering interface.
Collaborate with resources and sub-suppliers across various disciplines to determine project priorities, schedules, and work plans to meet milestones.
Report daily, weekly, and monthly on progress, quality control, and safety.
Record, name, and upload electrical installation QC photographs.
Facilitate processes with parties on requests for information and design change notifications.
Ensure projects are efficiently, effectively, and safely implemented in accordance with department procedures, local regulations, contracts, and policies.
Verify constructability, advise, and report on proper resource allocations, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed.
Walk down systems and develop and manage punch-lists.
Review project completion packages for completeness and accuracy to as-built standards.
Interface with the project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
Oversee solar field commissioning activities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of electrical construction means and methods, including NEC and NFPA standards.
Experience in drawing review and field electrical quality control inspection.
Strong organizational and progress reporting skills.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Outlook, PDF editing, Word, Excel, document control systems, and PowerPoint.
Effective communication with third parties and suppliers.
Understanding of scheduling and planning.
Work Environment
The position involves working at various site locations and requires travel.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
