PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for an Electrical Journeyman in Brownstown, Michigan. The ideal candidate must be licensed in Michigan and have a least 3 years' experience with installing conveyors. The right candidate will be able to work on their own in a commercial environment and have electrical tools. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $45 - $50 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Demonstrating technical aptitude in installing power supply wiring and conduit, including EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable trays
Conducting troubleshooting of electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as switchgear, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, and conveyor systems
Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits using devices like volt/ohm meters to ensure compatibility and safety
Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues with codes
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct breakdown causes
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a Valid Michigan Licensed Journeyman
Must have a minimum of OSHA 10 Certification
Must be able to past a criminal background (7 years)
Minimum of 3 electrical installations of material handling systems
Must be reliable and have available transportation to get to job sites
Must be willing to take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to read blueprints
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
Skillful use of test meters and diagnostic equipment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
