This position is a member of our Critical Infrastructure Division.
HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Provide administrative and clerical support for the Critical Infrastructure Division of the TCEQ.
Enter travel requests, and travel expense reports; audit travel vouchers for accuracy in accordance with CID and TCEQ travel policies and submit related and required documentation within required deadlines.
Ensure compliance with Public Information Request requirements, respond to requests received from external entities; search records for requested information; make photocopies; prepare invoices; coordinate with divisions of the Office of Compliance and Enforcement and regional offices to retrieve appropriate records; and refer questions to and interact with agency attorneys on problems or to determine appropriate courses of action.
Assist with timekeeping activities, to include data entry, filing, auditing time sheets for accuracy and completeness; and respond to routine and non-routine inquiries regarding rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to time keeping and special leave.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience providing administrative support.
Experience assisting with travel arrangements.
Experience using a database system.
Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus five years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience with a maximum substitution of four years.
OR
Two years as an Administrative Assistant IV at TCEQ.
