Job Title: Field Service Mechanic
Job Description
The field service mechanic role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and making advanced repairs on customer equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. The fleet primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment. Service is done within a 4-hour radius, with an average of 1 overnight trip per month, though efforts are made to minimize overnight trips.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on customer equipment.
Diagnose and repair equipment to avoid downtime.
Service a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms, construction tools, and specialty equipment like power generators and HVAC systems.
Travel within a 4-hour radius to perform maintenance and repairs.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Essential Skills
Electrical: Testing and rewiring machines, battery replacement, motor repair/swap.
Hydraulics: Crimping and making hoses, o-ring/seal replacement.
Mechanical: Fluid changes after a certain amount of usage.
Troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
Experience with diesel mechanics.
Field service experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license.
Experience with electrical motor repair.
Welding skills are a plus.
Maintenance technician experience.
Ability to work independently.

Work Environment
The work environment involves working 50-60 hours per week during the summer and 40-50 hours per week during the winter. You will generally dispatch from your own home on your own schedule to meet service times requested by clients. The typical workday starts around 7 a.m. and ends around 5 p.m., but may vary due to drive times. No CDL is required, but you must have an insurable MVR. You will need your own basic set of mechanic's tools. Uniforms are provided, and you will be working on customer sites and in various weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $66560.00/yr.
All Benefits kick in the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment. UHG medical with both high and low deductible options. Dental and vision offered as well.
