The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide retention and transitional support to CEJA students to encourage
enrollment and success in postsecondary education. Plan, coordinate,
deliver and report on transition activities leading to successful
enrollment and retention in CEJA program, support in finding employment
and/or continued study. Assist with support, development, and expansion
of bridge programs for adult learners. Coordinate outreach efforts to
identify and enroll CEJA program students.
Meet with students to inform them of educational opportunities within
the CEJA project as well as partner colleges if not eligible for the
program.
Provide follow-up services to provide transitional support to students
as they move through the enrollment process.
Transition support goes beyond the student recruitment and includes a
case management component/resource referral.
Actively recruit adult learners to enroll in CEJA courses/programs
through presentations within classes and orientation sessions, flyers,
marketing materials, word-of-mouth referrals, etc.
Represent CEJA and college program at events.
Develop programs to transition HSE and Intermediate-Advanced ELA
students to college classes and monitor their progress (i.e., learning
communities, bridge programs, etc.).
Collaborate with Managers to develop service and learning outcomes for
transition activities.
Develop relationships with local community agencies within the district
and with various departments throughout COD to ensure students are
appropriately linked to all available and appropriate resources.
Work with adult learners to complete necessary paperwork, identify an
appropriate class schedule, and create a long-term plan leading to
further training and/or employment.
Serve as a point of contact with the IL WorkNet Center in connection
with these students and participate in Workforce Development activities
as assigned.
Participate in relevant meetings with Continuing Education and Student
Services as relates to the successful transition of adult learners.
Collaborate with Student Services, Admissions/Recruitment, and academic
programs by using uniform procedures for tracking students, attending
regular meetings, etc.
Track and document student progress towards stated goals and objectives
established.
Regularly update participant case notes in the CEJA database.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
BA/BS Degree Required.
Masters preferred
Experience
2-3 years working with adult students in an advising, teaching,
or administrative support role required.
Bilingual Spanishspeaking preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position requires a background check and drug screen.
Hiring Range:
Starting pay begins at \$49,640 annually based on experience
Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
