Senior Electrical Engineer - DUTIES: Perform complex calculations
and applies standards correctly without supervision. Take lead when
works with peers. Review the work of engineers and designers developing
engineering and design documents as needed for the project. Regularly
perform reviews of vendor documents to ensure specifications and data
sheet requirements are met. Prepare & review specification for power
equipment including MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgears, MCCs
etc. Provide expert judgment and analysis for the design, development
and implementation of technical electrical systems. North America travel
required at least 10%.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or
related field and 10 years of experience to involve: (1) perform complex
electrical design calculations and apply design standards correctly
without supervision this includes sizing of transformers, switchgears,
cables, cable trays, grounding design; (2) perform Arc flash study, load
flow analysis, relay co-ordinations, system studies using SKM PTW & ETAP
software; (3) perform electrical design in accordance with international
electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA, UL, IEEE, and NEMA; (4) prepare
& review specification for power equipment including MV/LV distribution,
transformers, switchgears, and MCCs; (5) perform lighting calculations,
design & layout; (6) have design specification reviews with client,
co-ordinate with procurement & construction team, provide construction &
start-up support and co-ordinate with other disciplines including MEP,
process, CSA, HVAC, and dust control for design & construction interface
with electrical discipline deliverables; (7) review the work of
engineers and designers developing engineering and design documents as
needed for the project; and (8) project status meetings to review
schedule, cost, constraint logs & overall progress. Also, 5 years as a
project manager or higher. North America travel required at least 10%.
