Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a variety of tasks fixing dock levelers, and maintaining other electrical and mechanical equipment. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with small motors, electrical units, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in maintenance work and the ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
Responsibilities
Replace batteries on EPJs and forklifts.
Fix and maintain dock levelers with hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small motors and electrical units.
Work on wrapping machines, focusing on electrical and control panel work.
Identify relays and power sources through schematics.
Drill holes in flooring to secure bolts for racks.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in electrical work.
6 months of experience in diagnostic testing.
6 months of experience in mechanical work.
Strong troubleshooting skills, including electrical troubleshooting.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Proficient in using a measuring tape and following instructions.
Versatile in handling various repair tasks beyond a limited scope.

Work Environment
This position is based in a cold storage warehouse. The work environment requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in varying temperatures. Proper attire and personal protective equipment are necessary to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
