Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will utilize a variety of tools and equipment ranging from common hand tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. Your role will involve performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery and building systems operate smoothly. You will diagnose mechanical issues, assemble and repair components, inspect equipment, and ensure safety and quality management systems are maintained.
Responsibilities
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery runs smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective measures by consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions according to checklists.
Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
Ensure that the facility's product safety and quality management systems are properly maintained.

Work Environment
Work in a clean and climate-controlled environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness due to the nature of the products. The role primarily operates on a 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM, Monday to Friday) with some flexibility required, including occasional Saturdays depending on workload. The maintenance team consists of about three people.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
