Merrick & Company, a mid-sized, multi-discipline, employee-owned
consulting engineering firm that prides itself on building deep relationships
with its customers, is seeking a full time Senior/Lead Electrical I&C
Engineer to join our team at our Greenwood Village, Colorado headquarters.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who is eager to supervise,
lead, manage, and mentor an engineering and design team!
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader and have a passion for
electrical and I&C design. The Senior Engineer will be able and willing to
perform CAD as well as engineering, be nimble in accepting a wide range of
assignments both nuclear and non-nuclear and enjoy a team design environment.
Relocation assistance will be provided as part of the overall compensation
package depending on experience.
Typical annual pay range for this position is $153,500.00 -
$198,700.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge,
skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Technical Specialist will serve as a lead professional engineer for teams
of engineers and designers within the Electrical and I&C group.
Additionally, the Technical Specialist will lead design projects and
supervise electrical engineers and designers. Work involves a variety of
activities including conceptual and detailed design of low voltage and medium
voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control
systems, process equipment and instrumentation.
Supervise, lead, manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and
designers.
Attend client meetings and make presentations to clients.
Perform Code Reviews.
Lead design, development, and production of projects.
Provide technical guidance, redline project drawings, write
specifications, and review construction documents.
Communicate design changes to clients and other disciplines.
Perform project quality assurance/quality control, including independent
technical reviews and interdisciplinary coordination reviews.
Provide engineering support to equipment fabrication and installation.
Create and manage schedule and budgets for projects
Problem solve, guide, and assess employee performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of progressive experience in Electrical
Engineering design.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited).
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Expert level experience in electrical calculations (power distribution,
fault circuit analysis, lighting, and grounding).
Strong NEC, ISA, IEEE regulatory code experience.
The ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous work on Department of Energy governmental facility projects.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD based drawing generation experience.
SKM or ETAP experience.
Knowledge of Nuclear related design (NQA-1).
