Electrical I&C Engineer - Nuclear Projects - Remote
We are actively hiring 2 Electrical Engineers to support Instrumentation & Control Projects for Nuclear Facilities! These engineers will work with a dynamic, cross-functional team to support modifications on existing Power Generation Facilities and Plant Electrical Systems for leading Energy Providers across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to engage in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment, while providing support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects. This position is open due to an increase in project demand, and this team has 5+ years of backlogged projects that will offer long-term stability. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with relevant experience to work with some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry while making a significant impact in their field. Candidates can either remote to the Naperville, IL, office (hybrid) or work 100% remote.
Responsibilities
Participate in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment.
Prepare engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.
Perform tests and research problems through various sources of technical information.
Design or modify components and determine the intent of a specification or instruction.
Make recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.
Provide support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects.
Occasional travel to client offices, vendor offices, and plant sites as needed and/or interested.

Essential Skills
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
1 to 7 years of Instrumentation & Controls experience on Nuclear or Automotive facilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD Software
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with ability to quickly learn new concepts
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
Prior Nuclear experience is highly desirable
Will not consider I&C Engineers from industries outside of Nuclear or Automotive
Experience supporting multiple projects at once, with each lasting 6 months to 18 months
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
