Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Description
This role involves collaborating with manufacturing engineering and product sales teams to design custom electrical schematics using electrical standards, UL, and NEC codes. The engineer will program computer-based electrical and PLC design software, design and calculate burner, air flow, and electrical requirements, and provide startup/operational support while communicating effectively with customers.
Responsibilities
Design custom electrical schematics using electrical standards, UL, and NEC codes.
Program computer-based electrical and PLC design software.
Design and calculate burner, air flow, and electrical requirements.
Provide startup and operational support.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding programming and troubleshooting.
Engage in troubleshooting and controls engineering tasks using Electrical Design - EPlan and PLC Programming - Allen Bradley.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical design and PLC programming software.
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation, EPlan, Schneider Electric, Siemens, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, and Word.
Understanding of industrial electrical systems and components, including PLC, VFD, sensors, motor starters, etc.
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems such as NH3, CO2, Glycol, and other refrigerants.
Ability to manage burner direct and indirect systems using natural and propane gases.
Expertise in controlling air flows, volume, pressure, dew point, and humidity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Extremely fluent with computer use and digital communication.
Ability to work remotely.
Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code and ability to navigate code books.
Basic math skills for engineering calculations.
Valid driver's license.
Engineering or Technologies Degree preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
