Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team near Itasca, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems. This includes creating initial concepts, proposals, cost estimates, schematic and bill of materials generation, and providing startup and support services.
Responsibilities
Design electrical control cabinets using Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Develop three-phase power circuits (up to 575VAC) including motors, heaters, and transformers.
Create control circuits for both AC and DC systems.
Utilize analog signals effectively.
Integrate industrial sensing and actuating devices.
Collaborate with the team and communicate effectively.
Utilize office applications such as Excel and Word.
Essential Skills
Experience in designing electrical control panels in AutoCAD/SolidWorks
Ability to identify electrical components and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
1-5 years of experience with three-phase power systems up to 575 VAC.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in PLC/HMI programming is a plus.
Familiarity with UL 508A standards is beneficial.
No formal degree is required.
Work Environment
The role involves working 80% of the time in an office environment focusing on design tasks, and 20% on the shop floor, assisting electricians and answering questions from assemblers. The workweek is Monday to Friday with a 40-hour schedule, offering flexible start times. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
