Electrical Engineer to join our team and help us push the boundaries

What You\'ll Do
As an Advanced Electrical Engineer, you\'ll be a hands-on
contributor and technical problem solver, helping drive new product
development and continuous improvement for our connected devices.
You\'ll take ownership of critical parts of the design process, lead
electrical/embedded firmware efforts, and play a key role in shaping the
next generation of our Air Quality Management and Business Solutions
products.
This role blends electrical engineering, embedded software design,
testing, and collaboration across disciplines. You\'ll help us scale
innovation through:
Designing and prototyping electrical control systems that align with
global safety standards (UL, IEC, etc.)
Developing and testing embedded firmware/software for
microcontrollers and real-time systems
Leading troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and validation of
system functionality
Contributing to system architecture across hardware and software
layers
Supporting improvements to product reliability, energy efficiency,
and connectivity (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE)
You\'re a Great Fit If You
Live in the embedded software space but can speak the language of
hardware engineers
Understand how electrical systems fit into the bigger picture, even
if you haven\'t designed every piece from scratch
Thrive in a collaborative environment with fast-paced

Have a knack for problem-solving, debugging, and thinking critically
under pressure
What You Bring to the Team
Required:
Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant electrical engineering
experience, including firmware/software experience with connected
products
Strong working knowledge of analog/digital circuit design,
microcontroller programming, and tools like oscilloscopes and
multimeters
Proficiency with PCB design tools and embedded systems (e.g., C/C++)
Clear communication skills and a proactive, self-driven approach
Willingness to travel internationally up to 5 percent (e.g., China)
Preferred:
Experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++,
Elixir, Erlang)
Familiarity with low-level drivers and comms protocols (SPI, I2C,
UART, USB, etc.)
Experience in real-time operating systems and cloud-connected
devices
Altium ECAD, Github, Jira experience
Passion for tinkering, prototyping, and continuously learning
The hiring range for this position in Itasca, IL is \$90,000 to
\$120,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account
internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate\'s
geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among
other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the
