We are looking for a detailed-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team here at New Hope and help support our day-to-day accounting needs.
Position Summary:
As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with our accounting team to maintain financial records, perform reconciliations, assist in month-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with financial policies. This is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their accounting career and who’s ready to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and post daily financial transactions
- Assist with accounts payable processing
- Process accounts receivable daily
- Reconcile all balance sheet items monthly including multiple bank accounts, credit cards statements
- Support the monthly, quarterly and year end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries for review and maintain the general ledger accounts
- Assist in payroll processing and journal entry review
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting files
- Provide support during any tax filings and year end audits
- Perform other accounting & administrative tasks as needed
- Support Controller on various accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of QuickBooks and Excel
- Understanding of Google Business
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative and adapt in a team based environment.

Typical Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8 Hour Shift
- In Office Required
Salary:
The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000 and will be based on experience and career level.
