Our company seeks a motivated Full Charge Boorkkeeper/Accounting Assistant to support the finance department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.
Job Description:
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data.
- Managing payroll
- Prepare daily deposits
- Prepare month-end reports
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
- Processing business expenses
- Review and verify invoices and check requests, sort, code and match invoices.
- Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
- Verifying bank deposits
- Managing day-to-day transactions
- Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
- Handling accruals and prepayments
- Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
- Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source
- Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods
- Prepare logistics and follow up on international shipments
- Photocopying, Scanning, and Faxing as needed.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Proficiency in the following:
- Proficient in Quickbooks
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Textura (is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Sharp analytical abilities and superior attention to detail
- Able to think independently in order to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
- Able to interact with staff and other professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Team player able to take on different tasks as situations require
Language:
- ENGLISH (a must)
- 2nd language: ITALIAN or Spanish (preferred)
Required Education:
- Bachelor in Accounting
- Experience:* Bookkeeping / Accounting: 2 - 4* years (at least)
- Quickbooks: 2 years
