Job Description:
Position Summary
Guggenheim Partners is creating a new corporate accounting position based in New York with remote flexibility. This position will be responsible for month end close and timely and accurate financial reporting across the business units. The role includes detailed activities such as recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and evaluation of new accounting standards.
Essential Job Functions

Perform daily/weekly cash management journal entries

Record journal entries during month end close process

Reconcile balance sheet accounts

Prepare quarterly and annual reporting/variance analysis reconciliations

Liaison with other groups across Guggenheim organization (treasury/accounts payable, tax, legal/compliance, financial reporting and analysis)

Complete ad hoc projects alongside other accounting group members

Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the business
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner with individuals across the firm.

CPA preferred

Detailed oriented, committed to quality and hard work

Experience with Workday and One Stream a plus

Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and written & verbal presentation skills

Excellent organizational skills to prioritize projects and multi-task

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under pressure to meet deadlines

Assertive and proactive attitude toward assignments and in managing business relationships
Basic Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Two to four years of experience (public accounting preferred)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products – especially Excel
Salary

Annual base salary between $90,000 and $100,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
