our global IT team supporting our growing Enterprise GIS environment.
This position offers the option to work in a hybrid setting from either our
Santa Barbara, CA, Seattle, WA, or Denver, CO office locations, or
the option to work fully remotely from your home office. You will leverage
your GIS education and skills in ArcGIS technology administration, technical
support, and data management to assist in maintaining and enhancing GIS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ArcGIS Enterprise Administration:
Assist in administration of ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Online/Portal),
including user management, group/content management, and permissions.
Coordinate with IT support staff to address user access, permissions, and
license assignments for Esri ArcGIS products.
Publish, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise GIS map services.
Perform basic ArcSDE database tasks using SQL Server.
Technical Documentation & Training:
Develop and maintain GIS Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and
Knowledge Base (KB) articles.
Conduct GIS training sessions, webinars, and regular check-in meetings to
support internal user groups.
GIS Business Tool Support:
Support and maintain web-based GIS business tools using ArcGIS Enterprise and
Geocortex platforms.
Collaborate with business units to ensure tool enhancements and maintain data
accuracy.
Vendor Management:
Open, track, and manage support tickets with Esri technical support.
Act as a liaison between Esri support and Geosyntec GIS users.
Additional:
Stay current with GIS industry trends through training, webinars, and
conferences.
Provide end-user support, effectively prioritizing and escalating service
needs; collaborate with GIS and IT teams to facilitate GIS software
upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Information
Technology, Environmental Science, or related field. (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Minimum seven (7) years related experience working with GIS databases,
ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online/Portal administration, and Esri
licensing management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in a GIS administrator role,
including enterprise geodatabase administration. (required)
Exposure to scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, ArcPy, Arcade)
for GIS task automation. (preferred)
Familiarity with web GIS applications, dashboards, field data collection
tools (Survey123, Field Maps), and/or GIS API integrations. (preferred)
Experience with GIS infrastructure in cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
